Jonathan Smith is a Parent Governor at the school and sits on the Finance Committee and the Buildings and Community Committee. He has been a governor for nearly two years and has two children at the school, Emily (Yr 3) and Oliver (Yr 6). He is one of our most enthusiastic governors and played a major role in the contract negotiations of the building projects around the school. He is very keen to help in any way that he can and is a good lateral thinker during meetings. The subject that he is associated with in school is ICT and he will be visiting the school to observe this in action in April.

Lori Whalley has been one of our Parent Governors for 5 years. She has Henry in the Reception class and is also the Governor responsible for overseeing the Foundation Stage. She is an active member of the Personnel and Staffing Committee and also joined the newly formed Marketing Committee. When I firt joined the school Lori was the one who provided me with a comprehensive list of all the local businesses in the area, to which I wrote a letter of introduction. She has been very astute in the committee meetings and a very good communicator with myself through emails and telephone conversations.

Catherine Hedges is having a massive impact on the school. Whilst being on the governing body as a parent governor she has also played a major part in the school productions. She provided numerous decorations for the Arts Evening and Sports Dinner and a lot of the PTFA events. Catherine has two girls at the school, Esme in Year 6 and Lucy in Year 4. She is the Chair of the premises committee and also sits on the personnel committee.
Being dedicated to the success of the school is in the forefront of Catherine?s mind all the time and she is someone who works tirelessly to achieve that goal. She is not prepared to just sit in the background but rather is willing to offer opinion and well thought out alternatives. She is definitely a person who puts actions to her words.
