The major event of the year is the School Fete, usually in June, which provides so much more than funds for the school. It is a very happy occasion on which Nailsworth residents and parents can meet for a very enjoyable day, the PTFA have also organised a disco and firework evening, pizza and quiz nights, bingo nights, a Christmas Fayre, the selling of Spring bulbs and much more.
The PTFA is by no means just a fund-raising body it plays an active part in the life of the school. A very valuable subsidy given by the PTFA is the contribution towards the Educational Visits which provide such an enrichment of the children's classwork. In addition to this in the last two years the PTFA have donated more than £5000 towards library and reading books, special events, computer and electrical equipment and playground games.
