Nailsworth .. is a school with a strong family ethos and commitment to high standards. Its pupils are very well behaved, have good relationships with each other and with adults, and respond well to teaching. The school aims to help individual pupils reach their potential academically and socially in a positive and caring environment. Overall, standards of pupils work show good progress.

We have just completed our second OfSTED Inspection.
We are "an improving school with many strengths"

Our strengths have been identified as...

* Good achievement by the end of KS2;
* Teaching is good;
* Behaviour is good;
* Social, moral, spiritual and cultural provision is very good;
* Provision for children's personal development is excellent;
* Leadership;
* School provides a very happy, secure learning environment;
* The curriculum is enriched by out of school visits and visitors;
* Links with the community are very good;
* Good standards in art / very good in dance;
* Very good links with parents who are very happy with the provision offered.

Improvement since the last inspection has been identified as:

* Foundation Curriculum now firmly established;
* There has been an improvement in the teaching.
* Social, moral, spiritual and cultural development very good over all;
* Significant impact of Christian ethos over the day to day life of the school;
* Improved standards of singing;
* Art standards improved;
* ICT improved;
* Teachers? confidence improved;
* PSHE is making a positive impact;
* Our provision for the personal development of children has improved significantly;
* Pastoral care is central to what we do;
* Communications with parents have improved;
