Mrs Amos decided to become a teaching assistant after seeing what a difference a little extra support made to her son's learning. It was defintiely NOT the money or long holidays that influenced her choice of job! Mrs Amos lives in Nailsworth. Her hobbies are cooking and reading. An ideal day out for Mrs Amos is shopping. Her idol is her dad. Mrs Amos likes to listen to music from Robbie Williams, soul and 70s disco. Her favourite food is chocolate and her favourite drink is coffee. Mrs Amos's favourite TV show is Coronation Street and her favourite assembly song is 'Lead me on as I travel on my journey'.
Mrs Strang works across the whole school
Mrs Strang loves being a teaching assistant. She wanted to do a job which was worthwhile and helped people, not just a job to make money. She has worked at Nailsworth Primary school since 2001. She lives in Minchinhampton. Her hobbies are painting and reading. Her favourite place for a day out is a walk on the Malvern Hills. Her idol is her mum, becuase she is patient and kind and always able to help her, even if she is busy herself. Her favourite food is Hagen Das vanilla ice cream. She likes to listen to all sorts of music; classical, opera and rock. Her favourite TV programme is Frazier. Mrs Strang's favourite assembly song is 'Seek ye first' becuase there are lots of alleluias and it can be sung in a round.
Mrs Pretty works in Year 3
Mrs Pretty wanted to become a teaching assistant as she enjoys working with children and watching them achieve their full potential. She has been at Nailsworth Primary School since October 2004. She lives in Dursley. Mrs Pretty's hobbies are gardening, walking, cooking and DIY. Her favourite place for a day out is Go-Cart racing. Her favourite food and drink is Sunday roast and a god strong cup of tea. She likes to listen to all types of music (except classical) from Jazz to moden Pop. Her favourite TV programme is 'Question of Sport'. Mrs Pretty's favourite assembly song is 'All things bright and beautiful'.
Miss Dunlop works in Year 4
Miss Rachel Dunlop has been helping throughout the school for three years. Mrs Dougill inspired her to work in school. She thinks the kids at Nailsworth Primary are great too! She lives in Horsley. Miss Dunlop enjoys going away on her camper with her kids and dogs. Her favourite place for a day out is South Cerney. Her idol is her mum. Her favourite food and drink is sea food and champagne. She likes to listen to all sorts of music from David Bowie to Kylie. Her favourite TV programme is Big Brother.
