Miss Wilkins teaches Year 3, covering for Mrs Hyatt's maternity leave.
Mrs Hyatt is now on maternity leave from teaching Year 4. Her baby daughter, Charlotte, was born on Thursday 17th April 2008.
Mrs Hyatt became a teacher because she enjoys working children, and thinks that education is such an important issue. She has taught at Nailsworth Primary since september 2005. Mrs Hyatt lives in Cheltenham. Mrs Hyatt's hobbies are going to the theatre ad visiting friends.Her favourite place for a day out is walking in the countryside. Her idol is Rod Stewart. Mrs Hyatt's favourite food and drink is stir fry and wine. She likes to listen to rock and pop music from the 60's and 70's, and also classical music. She doesn't watch TV very much, but when she does she likes to watch The News or 'Have I got news for you'. Mrs Hyatt's favourite assembly song is 'If I were a........' because she likes the actions!
Miss Jones teaches Year 4
Miss Jones became a teacher because she wanted to work with children and help them learn. She has been at Nailsworth Primary School for 'a long time!' Miss Jones lives in Nailsworth. Her hobbies are gardening, cooking and going to the theatre. Miss Jones' s ideal day out would be to go to a deserted beach with lots of rock pools to look in. She likes classical and 'middle of the road' music. Miss Jones's favourite food is Italian food washed down with some red wine, especially if on holiday in Italy. Her favourite television show is Dr Who. Miss Jones's favourite assembly song is 'Shine, Jesus, Shine'.
Mrs Burns teaches Year 5
Mrs Burns wanted to be a teacher to enable children to learn. She has been at Nailsworth Primary School since 1990. She lives in Gloucester. Mrs Burns's hobby is music. Her favourite place for a day out is London. Mrs Burns's idol is david Beckham. Her favourite food and drink is Italian pasta dishes and red wine. She likes to listen to classical music and some pop music. Her favourite TV programme is 'Have I got news for you'. Mrs Burns's favourite assembly song is 'Shine Jesus Shine'.
Mrs Haynes will be teaching Year 6 from September to October half term.
Mrs D'Arcy will be the Year 6 teacher form October half term.
Mrs Horscroft teaches science and French to many different classes
Mrs Horscroft really enjoyed school when she was young. She wanted to try and make it a happy time for other children. She has been at Nailsworth school since September 1999. Mrs Horscroft lives in Nailsworth. Her hobbies are gardening and wildlife. Her favourite place for a day out is a garden centre or for a long walk in the countryside. Mrs Horscroft admires people of courage, e.g. Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, people who show great talent and anyone who makes her laugh. She likes music that is romantic and schumaltzy. Mrs Horscroft's faourite drink is orange and passion fruit J20. Her favourite food is a 2 in 1 pie with salmon and broccoli from the Weighbridge Inn. Mrs Horscroft's favourite programme was Friends when it first came out. Her favourite assembly song is 'Shine, Jesus, Shine'. it gives her a lump in her throat when everyone sings it beautifully.
